Frederick Wisdom, Managing Director of The Afro Card Company comments on their win: “We are absolutely delighted to be presented with the award and the prize money at a regional awards ceremony. It’s the first year they have extended the Birmingham Creative City Award to the region (West Midlands) and we were the first ones to win it! We really want to highlight the lack of black greeting cards available for the regional, national and international community and this is what we are hoping to change.”
Catherine Wisdom, Assistant Director, adds ‘Competition was tough, only 16 companies were nominated out of 70 entries. It’s our third award in the space of one year. We have worked hard for this and are very proud.”

The prestigious event was hosted by ITV News presenter Mary Nightingale. The Award presenters included Ashley Blake and Ed Doolan from the BBC, ITV Central
