The MWTF Ambassador scheme, launched in January this year, is aimed at raising our profile around the region by harnessing the networking power of our Ambassadors and asking them to spread our message at events and through their contacts.

Exporting is vital to the future prosperity of our region, but many SMEs are unsure about how to get started. Our members are always out and about at events and functions and are in the perfect position to give expert advice about trading internationally and to pass on the word about the benefits of engaging with MWTF.

We have recruited 20 of our leading members to become ‘ambassadors’ and, despite their busy working lives, they will be out and about, speaking at MWTF events, and promoting the organisation to their own clients and contacts.  One of these Jon Hewitt of Hygan Products Ltd., who were MWTF Exporter of the Year in 2007, says: "I am honoured to be asked to be an ambassador for the MWTF. Our company has been a member company for some 4 years now and it is an excellent "meeting point" for exporters, whether experienced or novice. Exporters can not only informally share experiences and ideas which assist fellow exporters in their businesses, but also by attending events they can keep up to date on market information, legislation, funding and other issues. I am happy to promote the MWTF in order to help exporters to achieve their objectives."

Another of our Ambassadors, Jill Angell, Marketing Director of Fish4Dogs, is pictured below left receiving her Ambassador's certificate from Glenis Poletti, MWTF Executive Director.
